Got Your 6 SMS Terms

Effective date: October 13, 2026

Extension Tech Inc., Canada, operates Got Your 6, a personal-safety app. These terms cover its optional safety SMS program. Product information: https://extensiontech.ca/got-your-six. Support: support@gotyour6.app.

Messages you agree to receive

By completing an emergency-contact invitation, you agree to receive automated, non-marketing Got Your 6 safety texts for the account owner identified on that invitation. Messages include SOS and inactivity alerts, Track Me location-sharing links, and related emergency-contact updates. Message frequency varies with that person's activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may decline SMS and discuss other contact arrangements with the account owner.

How to opt in

The account owner shares a secure invitation link outside our automated SMS service. It expires after seven days. Read the invitation, these terms, and the SMS Privacy Policy. To agree, send the exact JOIN command and invitation code shown on the page to the displayed Got Your 6 phone number, using the phone number named in the invitation. Opening a link or SMS composer alone does not enroll you. We verify your sending number, record your consent, and send a confirmation. Each emergency-contact relationship needs its own opt-in. Do not use someone else's invitation or send consent on their behalf.

How to stop or get help

Reply STOP to stop Got Your 6 safety SMS to your phone number across emergency-contact relationships. We may send one confirmation. You do not need the account owner's permission. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@gotyour6.app.

After opting out, the messaging provider may require START to unblock the number. START alone does not renew consent in our app: ask the account owner for a fresh invitation and complete the opt-in again. Existing invitations do not override STOP.

STOP can also block requested sign-in codes to that number until unblocked. STOP affects SMS; it does not remove an emergency-contact relationship, end Circle location sharing, or stop email or push notifications. Ask the owner to remove you or contact support for assistance. Circle acceptance is separate from SMS consent. Changing a contact's phone number requires a new opt-in.

Safety and delivery limitations

Got Your 6 is not an emergency service and does not dispatch responders. In an emergency, call your local emergency number directly. SMS delivery may be delayed or fail because of device, network, carrier, provider, or software conditions. Neither consent nor an SMS delivery status guarantees that an alert was read or that assistance will arrive. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy and changes

See the SMS Privacy Policy linked from your invitation for how we handle phone numbers, consent evidence, and opt-outs. We do not use this consent for marketing. Material changes to the SMS program will be disclosed, and we will obtain fresh consent where required.
